How It Works

Six simple steps from your cart to your door in Nassau.

1

Create your Planet Express account

Register for free at https://planetexpress242.com/register.php. You'll use this account to submit packages, view your invoices, and track your shipments.

✅ Already have an account? Skip straight to step 2.
2

Shop online — use our Miami address at checkout

When ordering from Amazon, eBay, Walmart, or any US store, ship your items to our receiving warehouse in Fort Lauderdale. Use your name and our address exactly as shown below.

⚠️ Make sure your name matches your Planet Express account so we can identify your package when it arrives.
3

Submit your package — do this while you're ordering

As soon as you place an order, submit it on our site right away. This helps us identify your package when it arrives and gets your customs paperwork started early.

💡 Pro tip: Open https://planetexpress242.com/user/package_create.php in a second tab while you're checking out. Fill in your order details and upload your receipt before you close the browser.
⚠️ A receipt is required for every package. Without it we cannot clear your items through Bahamas Customs, which causes delays and may result in additional charges.

4

We receive and weigh your package

Once your package arrives at our warehouse we'll measure and weigh every box. Your shipping charge is calculated on the billable weight — the greater of actual weight or dimensional weight.

ℹ️ Billable weight explained: A large but light box takes up space in the shipment just like a heavy one. We charge on whichever is greater — actual weight or box volume ÷ 166.
5

We prepare your invoice

Your invoice includes your freight charge plus Bahamas Customs duty and VAT, calculated per item category. You'll receive it by email as a PDF once it's ready.

ℹ️ Duty rates vary by item — clothing is 20%, electronics can be 10–45%, and some items like supplements and books are duty-free. We apply the correct rate for each item.
6

Pay your invoice and collect your items

Review your invoice online, pay the amount due, and collect your packages when they arrive in Nassau. We'll keep you updated on shipment status.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first shipment.

When should I submit my package?
Submit it as soon as you place your order online — ideally in the same browser session. The earlier you submit, the faster we can process your package when it arrives at our warehouse. Don't wait until your order has shipped.
What if I don't have a receipt?
A receipt is required for all packages. Without it, Bahamas Customs cannot properly assess your items and your package may be delayed or held. If you've lost your receipt, check your email for an order confirmation — most stores send one. You can save it as a PDF using the guide above.
Can I ship multiple orders in one package?
Yes — you can submit multiple packages for the same trip. If you have several orders arriving, submit each one separately with its own receipt. We will merge them into one invoice so you're only charged the processing fee once.
How is my shipping charge calculated?
We charge $2.15 per billable pound for shipments over 10 lbs, or a flat $15 for shipments 10 lbs and under. Billable weight is the greater of actual weight and dimensional weight (length × width × height ÷ 166). We measure and weigh every box when it arrives at our warehouse.
What is duty and who pays it?
Duty is a tax charged by the Bahamas government on imported goods. The rate depends on what the item is — clothing is 20%, electronics vary from free to 45%, and some items like supplements are duty-free. We calculate your duty based on your receipts and include it in your invoice. You pay it as part of your total invoice.
How long does shipping take?
Transit times vary depending on the shipment method (air vs ocean freight). We'll update your shipment status on your account page and email you when your packages have arrived in Nassau and are ready for pickup.
Can I ship aerosols, liquids, or fragile items?
Aerosols and some liquids may be subject to hazmat surcharges from our carriers. Fragile items should be well-packaged before shipping to our warehouse. Contact us before ordering if you're unsure about a specific item.
What if my package arrives damaged?
Please inspect your items when you collect them and notify us immediately if anything is damaged. Take photos and keep all original packaging. We'll do our best to assist with any carrier claims.
